Blog Makeover {Giveaway} #2: T-Tapp Workout DVD!

PhotobucketMany of you have followed my Operation “Tone Up” series over the last couple of months as I shared my progress using T-Tapp’s Basic Workout Plus. I lost a total of 11 inches in seven weeks!

T-Tapp has graciously offered to give a free copy of their TappCore Workout DVD (a $19.95 value) to one of my readers!

Here’s the description of this DVD from the website:

TappCore: Fundamental Fitness for the Developmental Body
TappCore was created for students and teachers and includes 9 mindful minute movements designed to build strength, flexibility and a healthy heart.  TappCore has recently been incorporated in many of the schools in Hillsborough County, Florida for grades K through 12.  If you’re interested in implementing a TappCore fitness program in your child’s school, please contact the T-Tapp office for more information.
Each exercise on TappCore is taught in detail and then offered without instruction.  It’s like a library of Target Pops!  Learn basic T-Tapp techniques to activate the muscles from the inside out to strengthen the joints and spine for preventative fitness and wellness.
TappCore helps to stimulate the left/right brain, mind and body.  It’s a great way to sneak in exercise throughout the day for those who don’t have the time or space.  Do one movement at a time or combine several together for a mini-workout.  A few of the movements also feature Teresa Tapp’s Bichon Frise, Buddy!
In 2008, T-Tapp received a letter of recognition from Florida Governor, Charlie Crist, about the TappCore program.  We are honored to have his approval and inspired to help children shape up, get healthy and fit!
The TappCore DVD includes:
  1. Butterflies
  2. Triceps Curls
  3. Shoulders
  4. Chest Press
  5. Hoe Downs
  6. Spine
  7. Balance
  8. Chair
  9. Walking

I own TappCore…it’s a great introduction to T-Tapp’s methods and exercises. The individual exercises are fantastic to sneak in here and there throughout the day if you don’t have time for a full-blown workout, and they’re all kid-friendly too! My kids enjoy doing them with me.

Operation "Tone Up" Week Nine

So I did a bit better this week! I got Primary Back Stretch in most days and Basic Workout Plus once. I did measure today (I missed last week) and my measurments haven’t changed...I’m still holding at 11 inches lost, even after nearly two weeks without doing the workout. Not bad!

My plan is to continue checking in weekly until week twelve, then monthly after that.

Operation "Tone Up" Week Eight: Oops!

I didn’t post a check in yesterday. I was away from my computer/not home all weekend. Once again, I only got Primary Back Stretch in. I also made a trip to my chiropractor because my neck was acting wacky. He straightened me all out, and I’m ready to go again this week!

I’ll check in again this Saturday.

Operation "Tone Up" Week Seven

Okay, I’ve got to ‘fess up and admit that I haven’t done anything but Primary Back Stretch all week! It’s just been one of those weeks.

Just for kicks, I decided to measure anyway. I’m down another inch! Apparently just doing Primary Back Stretch plus my improved posture is continuing to strengthen my core muscles and pull stuff in, even when I don’t do the full workout.

I noticed this week that my old, comfy jeans…that’ve been more like tight, uncomfy jeans for the last eighteen months since Monkey Boy was born…are fitting very nicely again, even though my weight hasn’t changed! I’m now down a total of 11 inches.

I’ll check back in next Saturday.

Operation "Tone Up" Week Six

Well, I only managed to do Basic Workout Plus two times this week. I was feeling a bit under the weather for several days and just didn’t do it, although I did manage to do Primary Back Stretch (which you can read more about in my first update) at least once a day.

Here’s how the week went:
  • Sunday: Day of rest!
  • Monday: Primary Back Stretch before bed
  • Tuesday: Basic Workout Plus
  • Wednesday: Primary Back Stretch
  • Thursday: Primary Back Stretch
  • Friday: Primary Back Stretch
  • Saturday: Basic Workout Plus

Results:

I was pleasantly surprised to find my measurements are down another inch this week, for a total of 10 inches (not including the first week, when I hadn’t measured yet).

I really wasn’t expecting to see any change with the week I had. It was bound to happen that I’d have an “off” week…I’m just glad I managed to get it in at least twice! Hopefully next week I’ll be back up to speed and get my usual three, plus hopefully some rebounding in!

I’ll check in again next Saturday!
