Fitness Challenge Check-In and a Sneak Peek at a FREE Online Conference!

Fitness Challenge: Primary Back Stretch (www.homewithpurpose.net)

It’s time for my first fitness challenge check-in/update!

(I should have posted this check-in last week but things were so busy that I decided to postpone it a week!)

Last month, I committed to try to do the T-Tapp Primary Back Stretch twice a day, morning and evening. As I explained then:

I know that weak muscles and poor posture are a major contributor to my near-constant back and neck pain, and my flexibility (which has always been pretty good) has noticeably decreased over the last couple of years. I also know that my energy level increases and I feel so much better all around when I’m exercising.

But, I also know that this time of year is totally crazy, and I would be setting myself up for failure if I tried to start a full-blown exercise routine right now. So, I decided to start simple – something is better than nothing, right?

So, how did my first month go? [Read more…]

Titus 2 Moments: Things I Wish I’d Known As a New Mom

Titus 2 Moments: Things I Wish I'd Known as a New Mom

Believe it or not, I’ve been a mom for over fifteen years now!

I’ve got quite a few ages and stages under my belt – in fact, I’ve got everything from teenager to preschooler going on in my home right now!

Over the last few years, I’ve noticed a gradual shift in my perspective from that of “young mom in search of mentors” to “Titus 2 mom who actually feels I might have something valuable to offer younger moms”. Not to say that I’ve even come close to having “arrived” – I still need mentors and godly examples myself! But I have learned and grown significantly over the years and feel that I do have wisdom to share. [Read more…]

If you missed it the first time around, here’s your chance to get this resource collection and support some very worthy causes too!
Living a natural, healthy lifestyle is important to me, not only for the benefit of my family’s health and well being, but because I’m firmly convinced that it honors and glorifies God and His creation.

Home With Purpose exists as a way for me to encourage and equip others to do the same. Some like-minded friends of mine in the blogging community have been hard at work for the last several months putting together a comprehensive package of resources to do just that for all of us on this journey.

I’m really, truly, excited to be a part of bringing The Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle to you.

This one is different from any other bundle I’ve seen. It includes a collection of over 80 ebooks, membership to a 12-week mentorship series with interactive online conference calls and private support groups with well-known bloggers, and multiple other bonusesMuch more than just a set of ebooks and/or products to purchase, it’s designed to encourage, equip, and connect you with a like-minded community!

That’s what I really love about this collection: it’s purpose isn’t just to just sell you a bundle of products, but to create a community with interaction, encouragement, and support! I’ve already seen that in action these last few weeks as the authors and team members have worked together to get everything ready to launch. What a wonderful group of people! The Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle embodies what I’m striving for at Home With Purpose: encouraging and equipping others to live in a way that honors and glorifies God in every aspect of home and family life. It’s been a real blessing to be part of it!

I’ll be sharing some of my favorites and a few sneak peeks here on the blog and in our Facebook community this week, so you may want to subscribe to updates and join us on Facebook too!

With that said, I’m thrilled to share the details with you! Read on for a list of exactly what’s included, and click the links for even more details!

Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you! 🙂 [Read more…]

{A Giveaway!} Fit to Burst: Abundance, Mayhem, and the Joys of Motherhood (Mom’s Bookshelf)

Fit to Burst: Abundance, Mayhem, and the Joys of Motherhood (A Review from www.homewithpurpose.net)

About a year and a half ago I reviewed a little book called Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches by a young mom, Rachel Jankovic. At the time, Rachel had five children under the age of five, including a set of twins, so she literally was writing from the trenches!

Now, another child and a couple of years later, she’s written a follow-up, Fit to Burst: Abundance, Mayhem, and the Joys of MotherhoodThe format is similar to the first book: eighteen short, devotional chapters (what she calls “field notes”) on various topics related to motherhood and parenting.

Here’s the table of contents, just to whet your appetite: [Read more…]

Update: This sale has ended, but you’re welcome to read on and check out the individual books!

Have you ever wished motherhood came with a manual?

When my parenting journey began over fifteen years ago, I was eager to learn all I could about pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and parenting in general. Over the years, I developed my own style in many areas, often through trial and error (for example, read about my journey with baby food). Some things I really didn’t know much about until my third child (like babywearing, signing, and cloth diapering). I’ve also learned more and more over the years about chore systems, real food, nontoxic beauty and cleaning products, and much more!

I would have loved to have a comprehensive set of resources at the outset to educate myself in all these areas, not to mention things like natural fertility, childbirth, natural health for the entire family, and non-toxic cleaning options, just to name a few. Even now, there’s always more I can learn. So I’m really excited about this newest ebook collection that incorporates all of this and much more!

Read on for details on this incredible resource… [Read more…]
