Easy Cheese Drop Biscuits

These are super easy, super fast to make biscuits. I make them for a quick side or even sometimes for breakfast! They take literally minutes and taste delicious! The recipe can be easily adapted for soaking to increase the nutritional value even more.

2 cups flour (I use freshly milled hard white wheat)
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup oil (I use coconut oil)
1 cup milk
1-2 cups sharp cheddar (or other cheese of your choice)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp parsley (optional)

Mix together dry ingredients, make a “well” in the middle. Combine oil and milk, pour into well and mix, just until blended. Add cheese and mix. Drop by tbsp or ice cream scoop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Makes approximately 1 dozen.

Alternate directions for soaking the grain: Add 1 tbsp vinegar, lemon juice, or whey to milk. Combine milk and freshly ground flour and cover bowl with a towel. Leave at room temperature overnight or until ready to cook. Add all the remaining ingredients, mixing just until combined. Cook as instructed above.
